I recently upgraded to Quicken 2018 for PC. This new format is very similar to how QuickBooks Online works as well – you have to pay for different users/companies.
I have multiple clients saved under my Quicken User ID. I have them all set up as different “company files” in Quicken so I can keep all of their information separate. These clients do not use the app so that has not been an issue. I track everything for them and just provide reports and info as needed.
For your situation, you could perform a backup of each client under their login and then create a new company file for them under your ID and use the “restore from back-up” to get their info in to their new Quicken file under your ID. I have succesfully done this with client files that came from different versions of Quicken.
Please contact me if you need help- be happy share how I did it.
