I’m wondering if anyone has used TrueLink with their clients. I’m considering having a client with overspending issues use this pre-paid Visa service and am looking for any comments/advice regarding your experience. Thanks, Beth Carroll

It has definitely been helpful in that regard, as you can place blocks on certain types of charges and and we have blocked all phone or internet charges so she can’t be scammed anymore. Cash can only be taken out at certain ATMs – in our area, at CVS or RiteAids – but my client has memory issues so she continues to use regular banks and incurs a $3 fee each time. Otherwise, it’s been great.

I simply transfer money from my checking account to the card every month or so to help supplement her expenses but keep her accountable. $10/mo fee.

August 22, 2018 at 12:53 pm #12699AnonymousInactiveI use the card with a client who has 24 hour health aides. The aides use the card for groceries, etc. and I am able to monitor the spending and make any necessary restrictions on use. As said previously, the customer service is very responsive.

The mom has the card which the caregivers use for outings, small drug store purchases (nail polish, snacks) and the son watches the purchases from afar and replenishes when necessary. It’s a win-win for everyone!

Easy to use and just recently added the auto replenish feature to one of the cards. The Caregiver likes using it too, so she doesn’t have to get cash from our mutual clients for grocery and med runs.
