At the conference, the Quicken representative promised a renewal code to save us some money. I don’t believe it was available at the conference; do you know if he plans to send it out soon? I renewed my Quicken subscription last year right after the conference, so my renewal for this year is due in a few days.

Hi Patti, You are correct that Daniel Chen offered a subscription renewal code to conference attendees. AADMM staff are working with him to make this happen. You should be hearing more about this very soon.

    (1) I sent an email to Daniel about the fact that my subscription was about to expire, and was wondering when we would be getting the code. He sent an email back that they are working on it.
    (2) Meanwhile, I tried to renew online and got several error messages that suggested that I renew thru STAPLES rather than thru Quicken (and to “check back again tomorrow”). After 3 days of getting the error message, my subscription expired. I use Quicken daily so can’t afford to have an expired subscription, so I got on a chat with a Quicken rep, who called me back and was finally able to renew my membership over the phone.

So, at least I have an active subscription, but I guess I won’t be able to use whatever discount code Quicken will finally provide. Although I will continue to be an enthusiastic and committed Quicken user, having to deal with both of these problems doesn’t help their reputation.

The statement at conference by Daniel was we were to receive a code for 50% off a 2 year renewal for the Quicken product we used. By a show of hands he asked what product we used and it seemed Premier and the Home & Business were most popular additions. The code that was sent is for a free 2 year subscription to premier only. So this means if you handle business accounting, track rental properties or use invoicing this offer is of no use to the target audience of DMMs.
I have been emailing Daniel and Sona for a few days about this issue. As of yesterday email replies to me stopped after the email from Sona of – here is the code to download the offer we sent for premier, not what you use. Read: like it or lump it. I’m feeling rather let down by this. Is the business practice of under promise and over deliver around anymore? Or even deliver at least what you promise? It’s nice they are offering a free 2 year product but when it is not the professional level product used by many in our organization it is rather like a cold bucket of water.
