Has anyone used the Quicken offer provided to conference attendees? I have several emails from Quicken about upgrading to 2018 and the offer for the subscription given to us during the conference. From some reading I did, Quicken conducted a pilot in Canada with Quicken users for the subscription service and now they are rolling it out in the U.S. I’m wondering if anyone has done the upload, whether the program is any different and what you think about it. Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I didn’t need the additional services or cost. I bought it from Quicken directly. Before buying, you might research the cost from Quicken vs Amazon or elsewhere.
Side note: I was using Quicken 2017 for Mac and really can’t see any difference with 2018. I was having one technical problem and the woman representing Quicken at conference said that upgrading to 2018 would probably resolve that. I haven’t tested it yet.
Good luck! Lynn

I was under the impression that the offer made at Conference was for a subscription service which is a new thing for Quicken and something they will be implementing with all their products over time. The idea behind that is instead of upgrading yearly (which I guess most people do every few years but not yearly) they will sell Quicken as a subscription which will need to be renewed annually.
Anyone else following this thread? Thoughts?

I chose to go with a Quicken Deluxe subscription. It would have been cheaper in the first year to accept their offer, but then in subsequent years, I wouldn’t get the deal and Premier would have cost me more. Decided to keep it simple and just sign up for what I would use long term.
Side note: If you are running 2017, you might just wait. I don’t see much difference between 2017 and 2018. I was having an issue with reports and hoped that 2018 would solve that. Have not tested it yet!
