I am looking for a professional preferably in the DC/MD/VA area to recommend who has expertise in advising people on best practices (for their situation) to pay high unaffordable medical bills, or to help negotiate payment plan, review of insurance coverage or the like.
What is the best website to find a medical bill advocate? Has anyone worked with a professional who you would recommend? (I’m sure these professionals work remotely too, doesn’t need to be local). I’ve also found the Alliance of Claims Assistance Professionals (ACAP) and would be interested in knowing any feedback on this group – is it a legitimate source of medical billing professionals? https://www.claims.org/capservices.php
I’ve done some research but keep getting redirected to a different company page when I search for the Medical Billing Advocates website (as referenced in a few articles I’ve found).
