I am looking for a professional who helps people navigate and qualify for social security disability benefits. I have a client in the Houston TX and would prefer someone local, however she is open to working with someone remotely if needed.

In the past my clients have each used ALLSUP – this is a third party who walks everything through the process. It has been successful in each case. Not sure if you can just call them as these were long term disability clients for which the provider was wanting to stop paying!
Perhaps you’ve already done this, but you could research a local Social Security Lawyer. These lawyers specialize in SSA topics. You could also check out the Advocator Group, (https://www.advocator.com), though I am not making that referral from experience, so do some research. The SSA number is 1-800-772-1213 or visit https://www.ssa.gov/planners/disability/dapply.html for more information or to apply online. Make sure you have all the needed documents before applying. Oh, I was going to suggest contacting the local Council On Aging.
