A couple wants to stop making late payments and running out of money days after receiving their paychecks. They’ve contacted me and want me to “control their bank accounts.” They are not destitute. Their monthly expenses, including car payments, utilities, and mortgage payment, total about $4,000. They’re independent contractors in the oil & gas industry that bring in roughly $12,000-$20,000/month. They have no family members that are able to help–they’re gamblers, too. If there’s cash, they’re off to the casinos. When the cash runs out, they’re home and not itching for the casinos because there’s no money. Car payments are current, mortgage is behind; no student loans, and one credit card with a $200 limit. My usual clients and I both have access to online banking, for example. Does anyone have experience with the DMM having access only? If yes, what type of written agreement did you have the client sign?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
