I am looking for a less expensive option than the Fujitsu iX500 to provide my larger clients. I want to be able to set it up to scan directly to an email address, such as their’s in my Hubdoc account. Looking for the one step action, i.e. put in scanner and push a button, and they’re done. Someone had mentioned the Epson DS-530 Scanner, does anyone have experience with this one? Thanks in advance, Rich

I’m a huge ScanSnap fan, so I always recommend Fujitsu. If they just need single sided, how about one of the smaller Fujitsu, like the iX100?

    Hi Rich,
I have Both – the Fujitsu iX500 for my home office and the smaller portable iX100 for my work on-site with clients. I think they are both great and can easily recommend either one.

The smaller iX100 feeds quickly allowing for multiple pages in one PDF which is one of the features of the larger desktop (placing multiple page documents into the scanner and not having to manually feed them). So while with the smaller iX100 you have to manually feed each page it is so quick and easy that it just might be “enough” for your client if he is wanting a less expensive option.

if you scroll down on this link:

you can see some of the ways you can handle the finished scan (ie: scan to email, Evernote, dropbox, etc.).

    Hope that helps,
    Alix

I have the Fujitsu S1300i. It does one button duplex color scans with a multi feed. Comes with the ScanSnap software so you can scan to email, dropbox, Google docs.

If you don’t have a portable scanner, you can download CamScanner app for free to your phone. It’s great – even does upraised seals. It has functionality to email as pdf as well.
