Hello,
Not sure it this has been asked before but am wondering if anyone has taken the Dave Ramsey Financial Coach Master Training and if so, was it worth the money?
Thanks,

[While Dave’s political ramblings can drive me crazy, much of his financial advice is spot-on, and he has helped a lot of people get out — and stay out! — of debt.]
If you decide to go forward with it, let me know!

December 9, 2019 at 1:54 pm #13169AnonymousInactiveI have a friend whom was a Dave Ramsey financial coach (I’m not sure if that is the same as the Master Training) that I pinged but no response yet on his opinion. I know there was an option to show up in the directory on the Dave Ramsey website for an added fee, and that worked when it was doling out to the different folks, but when they changed the site to just display names rather than direct an inquiry to a particular person then he found the number of inquiries dropped off to the point he wasn’t getting ROI from the cost to be in the directory. Your mileage may vary.

I do believe the training helped me in feeling confident enough to call myself a “Financial Coach”, so that aspect is good, and I still call myself either a “Dave Ramsey Financial Coach” or a “Financial Coach”. I also use Dave Ramsey’s concepts when assisting people with managing their debt. However, I am not a member of the referral program as I once was, because I was not getting individual’s who lived close enough to me. It would have been helpful if it was more localized. I live close to Jacksonville, which was in my radius but I did not want to cover Jacksonville. When I went through the training, it was in person rather than online, and if I were to go back in time and do it again, I would probably take the same path. That being said, there is another Financial Coach training program available through “Financial Coach Academy”. I’ve researched it and feel it is worth the coast and I’ve been considering working it into my budget. If you know Dave Ramsey’s principles, you already know what you are going to learn. It’s pretty straight forward. You do get the name behind you. You would not be posted on the Dave Ramsey website at all, but you can say it on your website. The other program would broaden your approach and have you look at the whole spectrum of finances in a more encompassing view.
