I have a few clients using the True Link card and in general it works well. However, one client is experiencing a delay in funding when the card needs to reload over a weekend and the money isn’t reloaded until Tuesday. That is impractical and then we have to call TL to get authorization for them to “float” the money on the client’s card.

I regularly recommend TrueLink Financial to clients. I have also experienced this issue and TrueLink does not have a solution. My clients have learned to check with us if they expect heavy spending on the weekend.
I try to anticipate the weekend time lag and plan ahead. I have told my clients there is no way around it but in reality TL has been very helpful when I had a true emergency situation with a client.

Thanks for confirming this experience. For the convenience of the card, I guess we have to deal with this flaw in the system. Their customer service has been very responsive and even “floated” my client money during the period in question, but it creates more steps in a system that we think should work more smoothly. Now when recommending the True Link card I will be sure to provide the caveat about weekend refunding to my clients’ children who manage the card for their parents.
