I currently have all my client accounts under separate quicken files but under one quicken ID. This is because I have one 3 user license for quicken. I now have a client who would like to use the quicken app to track his accounts as we work them.
Do I need a separate quicken ID for him and therefore a separate license? Or is there a way to insure he can see only his data through the app?
Hi Amy – I tried this with a client and they had their own account but the sharing across our IDs created issues. Quicken has an option for Web-access that you could share with the client and still manage the master file but I had a client issue and they told me to turn it off — so I’m not sure it’s ready for prime time. This is all things that have happened in the past month.
Have you had any success? I know you posed this a while ago.
It was the web access I was referring to, sorry! I have not turned it on yet as it will require separate licenses for any client needing this access and I am finding several banks that do not play nice with the web access…so you are correct, it is not ready!
