One of the CPAs I work with just recommended a website http://www.track1099.com. It took me less than 10 minutes to prepare an electronic 1099 (W-2s available too) and send it. They also take care of the IRS filing. It cost less than $4. I believe that was the cost for filing with IRS.
I didn’t notice if it gets higher if there are more 1099s in the batch. Very pleased!I used it last year for a client with many workers. It was a breeze. I plan on using it again. A very easy user interface! Yay!
Hi. This is the first year that I will need to prepare/file 1099s for clients. The Track1099.com website looks pretty simple, but also curious if others have used other services? Has anyone used Quickbooks?
