    For those clients who have high property taxes and live in states with high tax rates, are you coordinating with their tax and financial advisors regarding the benefits of prepaying their 2018 taxes in 2017?

    A tax advisor reached out to me for a mutual client in Washington DC to suggest pre-paying 2018 taxes.

    FYI, http://www.taxpayerservicecenter.com Is the DC website to use to pay Washington DC 2018 real estate tax.

    I am finding that every municipality differs in their opinion as to whether prepayment is allowed. Gov Cuomo in NY issued an executive order to allow municipalities to issue tax warrants for 2018 in order to allow prepayments of property taxes.

    I called the property Taxes department in MD & they told me that their system was not ready for prepayment of these taxes. All I found on my account was all of the bills that have paid in previous years.
