    Hi,
I am finding the forum messages are arriving hit or miss in my Email inbox. After conference I went and subscribed to all of the forum categories that I could see. I thought that would solve the problem of not receiving posts. I get random one-off emails in my inbox that seem to have no set rules as to what message response I am receiving. I’m not even receiving responses to my own posts (which I realize I can hit the send me email replies)… But that is not the point I should be receiving all messages for all forums. At least that should be a possible feature setting.

In looking today I see that it looks like for each new message posted in a forum it now says “subscribe” as though for me to receive notifications I have to now change the settings for each post that is created!! Well how does one know post has be created unless I go and look online? It kind of defeats the whole subscription idea.

What I am trying to find is a global setting that subscribes me to the forums and what I’d really like is for them to be delivered into my Email inbox in digest form. Is that feature setting with the forums program the AADMM program uses?

Are there any thoughts or any updates as to what is happening with the forums subscriptions and how to simplify notifications where we don’t have to go into the website every single day to see activity? Or at least to be able to see all postings without having to subscribe to every new post one at a time?

I feel your pain Alexandra and I assure you we are working hard to solve it. The forum is a plug in that has limitations on what we can do and change and what we can’t. I have asked if there is an easy way to subscribe to the forums all at once without clicking on each forum, unfortunately you can’t. The way it should be working is that you should be able to click on subscribe to each forum and you will get notified of all new posts within that forum and then, if you click on “notify me of follow up replies via email” you should get the responses if you post a response. We are working to do those in more of a digest form and the developer is looking to see how he can make this process easier. You shouldn’t have to go to the website every day to see what new posts are there. I totally agree with you. You should be getting notifications of each new post in the forums you subscribed to. I will pass this information on to the developer and see if he can figure out what is going on and why you aren’t getting them. I am just as frustrated about these difficulties as you are.

I had brought this up at the conference during ListServ time. This was an awesome resource when I first became a member. I was able to read the ones that applied to my business and dismiss the ones that didn’t. With the new platform requiring us to opt in vs opt out, in my opinion we have gutted the whole idea and ease of usefulness of ListServ.
